Let's be honest, Irish weather is 'fierce mild' as Dylan Moran would say. It gets a bit windy, a bit rainy and a little bit sunny but we never really get the good stuff, which is probably why we all lose our minds when we see a hint of snow - even if its mostly melting right now.
I've seen more of it on Snapchat than I've seen on the ground and Twitter is all in a flutter so to celebrate our bout of 'extreme weather' here's the top 5 tweets of Snowmageddon 2017 so far.

Ok, so Dublin didn't get the worst of the snow, the Wicklow mountains and other hilly areas become snow-capped but we did have to endure waiting for our cars to defrost this morning.

"Thanks Jim!"
