12 Poses to a New You: Day 3 - Reclining hand to big toe pose

Day 3 - Reclining hand to big toe pose
Day 3 - Reclining hand to big toe pose

Physically, what’s it good for?

  • Hamstring flexibility.
  • Improves lower leg circulation through elevation.

Reclining hand to big toe pose is another favourite for me, especially after a run or cycle when my legs can feel tight. Try to keep your hips level. Try to keep your lower back from pressing into the floor. Once in position, stay there for six deep breaths and ensure you feel a good stretch in your hamstring muscle (not your knee or your bum – the in between bit!). Have a go each side and let me know what you think.
