Physically, what’s it good for?

  • Lengthens and extends the mid part of the spine – the Thoracic Spine.
  • Strengthens shoulders and core.
  • Takes us out of the forward and rounded position we can fall into during the day at a desk!
  • Builds lung capacity

Cobra pose is much needed after a day at the office. Too much of our day is spent sitting and rounded forwards. This is an excellent pose to address the restricted and dysfunctional areas that can develop due to 8 hours at a desk. Once in position, stay there for 6 deep breaths. Work hard on keeping your elbows by your side. Have a go and let me know what you think.
