Irish beauty Rozanna Purcell is well known as a model, a food blogger and one of Ireland's top lifestyle influencers. However, not too long ago Roz competed as Miss Universe Ireland in a pageant that brought her life-changing opportunities. At the young age of 19, the model moved to New York where she signed with Donald Trump's agency Trump Models.
She told The Herald:
"I remember on a talk show one night, they were talking about Miss Universe and Trump was like, 'Did anyone see Miss Ireland? She was so gorgeous.' And I was like, 'that's so weird.' I think he saw me as the little Irish girl that was over there."
However, Roz maintains that the man she met in New York was very different to the man we see on screen today. In fact, back in 2010 Roz posted a tweet supporting the idea of the Trump running for office.
Today at a photo call for Taste of Success, the foodie entrepreneur told RTÉ Lifestyle that as one of the few Irish personalities to have met Trump she could confirm that at the time of their meeting, he was a very different person and a big fan of Ireland. However, he still wouldn't get her vote.
"He was super nice to all of us at Miss Universe, obviously I went on to Trump Models and I met him loads of times in New York."
