Operation Transformation was always something Brenda Donohue was aware of, but never had thought she would ever take part in. The fact that her former 2fm colleague and friend Gerry Ryan was the original presenter of the programme, made her involvement of the show all the more specia.

"Gerry Ryan presented Operation Transformation in the very, very beginning" Brenda said.

"It's kind of been in my psyche for years. And I've always known about it and the ins and outs of it. Unfortunately Gerry's not around, but if he was around he'd be having such a laugh." Brenda said.

Having already had her first weigh-in, the busy working mum has been working on her individual plan for some weeks now, the challenge is only just beginning.

But what would Gerry think of her being a leader?

"He'd be coming in saying 'I think I'll have a wrap today. Will I put in chicken, I might put extra mayo on it? Why don't we all go out for Chinese? Wait till I tell you about the drink I had last night."

Laughing, she added on a more serious note: "But he wouldn't. He'd be really proud. As he was of all his friends."
