1. The Electric Picnic 2016 App

Explore Electric Picnic at the touch of a button with the official EP 2016 App. Could be very handy for the 40,000 plus festival-peeps.

Want a breakdown of who is playing where and when? The app has a handy line up section with a breakdown of everything you need to know.

The EP App is your guide for Electric PicnicPicnickers can also 'fav' acts they want to see beforehand, making their own personalised lineup. The app will send notifications before the act goes on stage to remind you to get in on the action!

And with the festival map, getting from stage to stage...to pillow will be a breeze.

Powered by 3, the app is available to download from both the Apple App and Google Play Store. All you need to do now is make sure your phone battery doesn't die!

2. Fancy an Electric Swim?

Get ready to make a splash at EP!

Picnickers get ready to make a splash! For the first time, The Lake will be open to Electric Picnic public. Set in the idyllic surroundings of the Stradbally Hall estate, The Lake is a perfect chance to refresh and recover from a day of festival antics.

Straight from Rio 2016, Picnic lifeguards will be on duty to watch out for everyone’s safety over the course of the weekend. So swim suits at the ready! Kids can make a splash too when accompanied by a responsible adult who can swim.

Opening times:

  • Friday: 2pm -5pm FAMILIES ONLY / 5.30pm-7pm ADULTS ONLY 
  • Saturday: 10am-1pm FAMILIES ONLY / 1.30pm-7pm ADULTS ONLY 
  • Sunday: 10am-1pm FAMILIES ONLY / 1.30pm-7pm ADULTS ONLY 

3. Surf asks festival goers to bring some colour to EP

Surf are bringing the first-ever colouring wall to an Irish festival to Electric Picnic this year! The detergent brand need all the help they can get as the blank canvas is ready is crying out to be filled in over the course of the weekend. 

There'll be no excuses for going outside the lines with beloved Irish artist Don Conroy on hand to offer colouring tips, tricks and advice! As well as colour, Surf promise to freshen up EP by continuing their launderette service. So feeling inspired? Remember to take a moment out from the busy festival and spread some colour around Stradbally!
