Operation Brush-Off: Paint The Nation with Pauline

If you love to make a scene on canvas with oils, watercolours, pastels and acrylics, then take this as a call to action!

Presented by Pauline McLynn, Painting The Nation is a new series coming to RTÉ this Autumn. It's a nationwide competition to uncover the very best amateur painters across the country. Anyone is welcome to apply. Maybe you're guilty of previously abandoning your palette and easel for another career. Maybe we've seen your odd painting or two being sold along the walls of St Stephen's Green. Or maybe you just love to paint. Painting The Nation invites you all to paint the town red.

Pauline McLynn is Painting the Nation

The judges will pick seven talented amateur painters to compete; three will make the final and one painter will win the inaugural Painting The Nation title, complete with the opportunity of having their final painting becoming a public piece of art and of course, full bragging rights.

RTÉ One and Independent pictures are looking for non-professional artists to apply for this new and exciting painting competition. If you, or any of your friends, have got the guts and skills, you can check the eligibility criteria and download an application form here

If you would like further information or an application form sent to you directly please contact Independent Pictures on 01-7088135 or 01-7088184, or email us at: paintingthenation@indiepics.ie
