RTÉ broadcaster Claire Byrne is hosting the annual Have a Cuppa for Daisyhouse fundraiser today to help raise funds and awareness of the women's refuge centre.
The fundraising campaign runs from Sunday November 1 to Saturday November 7 and Daisyhouse are encouraging people to host their own Have a Cuppa for Daisyhouse event in your area
This morning, Thursday October 29 Claire is launching the event in Dublin's House on Leeson Street, encouraging people across the country to donate to the charity which she is a patron of.
Daisyhouse helps women who have become homeless for a number of reasons - domestic or sexual abuse, ill health, human trafficking, addiction, relationship breakdown amongst other reaons. Daisyhouse is a safe space where those women can stay to get the support that they need, while they rebuild their lives.
