The second series of the Sonya Lennon-presented Craft Master is coming to RTÉ, and the makers of the show want to hear from amateur Irish craft makers who wish to take part.

Big Mountain Productions is inviting those with foundation skills in Basketry, Millinery, Knitting, Furniture or Jewellery to apply.

Successful applicants will get the chance to develop their skills on a residential masterclass with a top craftsperson in their discipline and will compete for a stand at Showcase - Ireland's Creative Expo run annually by the Crafts Council of Ireland.

Presenter Lennon said: "I'm so thrilled to be involved in Craft Master for the second season. This year's disciplines are a great mix, with huge creative scope for the apprentices.

"It's such a wonderful opportunity for the competitors to immerse themselves in their chosen craft and potentially develop a new, successful and rewarding career in the burgeoning craft sector."
