The National Lottery Good Causes Awards honour the inspiring work thousands of projects, clubs and individuals from all over Ireland do each and every day.

This year, RTÉ has teamed up with the National Lottery to showcase some of these good causes.

Like Donegal based group Involve, nominated in the 'Youth' category.

Involve works in collaboration with Donegal Travellers Project which is located in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal.

The youth organisation works with a diverse group of young Travellers from the community that have different levels of family traditions and beliefs.

Their aim is summed up in this statement: 'We dream of an Ireland where the Traveller community are equal  partners in every level of Irish society. We seek a future where government and community embrace our distinct ethnicity and where the conditions have been created so we are no longer on the margins fighting for justice, equality and our human rights.'

The group organise football programmes, summer camps, young women groups, after-schools, a young leaders group, and a bike recycling project among many other things.
