Grow Cook Eat Food Waste

Tonight on Grow Cook Eat, we're learning to grow our own crunchy, sweet and flavoursome carrots.

Presented by Michael Kelly and Karen O’Donohoe, each episode of Grow Cook Eat teaches us how to grow a particular vegetable from sowing the seed to harvesting and cooking.

If you want your carrots to crunch, you need to grow them in a deep, light, stone free, fertile soil.

The extra bit of effort will pay off tenfold as just two or three well-timed sowings of carrots should see you self-sufficient all year round in this classic stockpot vegetable which is full of vitamins.
