True to form, Jean-Christophe views food as an art form - therefore he cannot simply have a 'favourite food'.
"I don't know, I work with my moods, everything is about my moods, the way I am on the day."
However, one food that does stand out for the professional foodie is his wife's roast.
"Obviously, a nice roast, which my wife does very well. Michelle is the top notch of the roast. It's fantastic"
While at Taste of Dublin, Jean-Christophe gave a big shout out to Ireland for our butter, saying it's one of his all time favourite treats.
"I sometimes treat myself with a beautiful piece of bread, sometimes even toasted at the last minute with a fantastic pure butter spread. The Irish people do great butter, by the way!
A bit of butter and a tiny amount of cheese, and I sit in the corner, I block my ears and I just hear myself crunching the bread and savouring the cheese. This is my treat!"
