MasterChef Ireland's Simon Delaney and Daniel Clifford are back in the kitchen.

English chef, Daniel Clifford, who is famed for his work at two Michelin star restaurant Midsummer House in Cambridge appeared as a judge on TV3's Celebrity MasterChef earlier this year alongside Irish TV personality, Simon Delaney, who made it to the final of the show.

The two foodies reunited at Taste of Dublin 2017 for a cooking demo where Daniel whipped up a beautiful Mackerel dish and Simon got cracking on a burger from his new book Simple Simon's The Diner Cookbook.

We caught up with the foodie fanatics, outside the Electrolux tent before their demo, to find out what they thought of Taste of Dublin and how they were feeling ahead of their performance.

English chef, Daniel Clifford, said he was so impressed by Irish produce that he has started using it back home.

"I didn't realise how good the produce was in Ireland. I think, to be honest with you, we're now using beef from Ireland back in the U.K."

Meanwhile, Simon Delaney insisted that while the event was extremely exciting, it left him feeling a little nervous ahead of his cooking demo.

"It's huge for Ireland, its [food] a huge part of our export business and this is a huge showcase for it and to be honest with you, to be part of it today, I'm nervous about cooking for people because there's proper foodies here."
