Skehan's new book Fresh promises simple, delicious recipes to make those who use it feel energised. It's cooking, Donal-style, so lots of taste with a little extra focus on using as much seasonal produce as possible, from grains to veg and nutritious meat. Here's a little more on his book:
The chef is a big fan of RTÉ Food and the food lovers who follow him on the site:
The TV Chef and food blogger is also on our TV screens at the moment too in his RTÉ One series Cook, Eat, Burn! The cooking and eating parts are self explanatory, but the Burn part is less on punishing the food but having a look at the calorific content and what you would need to do to burn off the calories in the meals Donal whips together. He also looks at the energy and nutritional value of food and how to swap out ingredients if you are looking for a lighter yet still tasty alternative.
2016 may be an even busier one for The Kitchen Hero chef as he and his wife Sofie Larrson may be contemplating a move stateside. Meanwhile though, how is married life going and who is doing the cooking these days.
Watch Cook, Eat, Burn! on RTÉ One, Friday nights at 7.30-8pm and catch up on the first two episodes on the RTÉ Player here
