Clashing prints and mixing influences is something many of us hope to master in fashion, but more often than not it's better done on Instagram or in high fashion editorials.

Knowing how to pair pieces in a way that says "confident dresser" rather than "I got dressed in the dark" takes skill, or a built-in knowledge of what looks interesting with what. And it seems Laura Whitmore has both skills in abundance.

The radio presenter has been a fashion favourite of ours for ages, and we've been loving her take on autumn style since the weather turned chillier. And while she has a keen eye for statement pieces, like the 70's-style shearling coat or the metallic suit, it's her bold styling choices we've always coveted.

The Irish beauty proved her fashion chops again as she stepped out over the weekend wearing a confidently mix-matched outfit.

She once again donned her shearling jacket – the Lulu style by buzzy London brand Charlotte Simone in a shade of warm and rich tan, with dramatic faux Mongolian shearling collar and cuffs in a contrasting lighter shade of cream.

Whitmore paired it with a cream lace mini dress, the high-necked tunic-style dress featuring intricate embroidery and eyelash lace trim at the hem. She layered this over a pair of dark black tights, to keep the look seasonal and keep out the cold.

She finished the look with a striking pair of calf-length cowboy boots in patent leather, that clashed perfectly with the sweet and retro outfit.

Adding another pop of personality to her ensemble, Whitmore paired her look with a large slouchy leopard print tote bag, accented with gold hardwear. She added a pair of oversized round tortoiseshell sunglasses and a smattering of delicate gold chains and chunky rings.

She carried a red and white patterned protective face mask for when she entered the BBC studio.

As always, her blonde hair was worn in a sleek blow dried style and tucked under her cosy coat. Her makeup was kept bronzed and glowy, with her tan complemented by her cream dress and a swipe of pink lipstick keeping her look fresh.
