Remember a few years back when the only celebrity really known for her Halloween transformations was Heidi Klum? Fast forward to 2019 and now A-listers are trying to outdo each other with their crazy costumes and make-up.
Throughout Halloween, we’ve seen lots of famous folk teaming up for couples costumes or roping in their kids for some adorable mini-me looks (Klum went all out for her 20th party as a terrifying alien).
From sexy to scary, to cute as can be, here are the best celebrity Halloween costumes of 2019 so far…
Geri Halliwell
Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell dressed up as the one and only Tommy Shelby - by order of the Peaky Blinders, we presume. Channeling Cillian Murphy's solemn stare and striking cheekbones, the pop star nailed the look with three essential accessories: flat cap, pocket watch, and horse.
Ciara
Level Up singer Ciara and her husband Russell Wilson went all out with their couple's costume this Halloween. Drawing inspiration from two of America's most iconic couples, the pair recreated Beyoncé and Jay-Z's Apes**t video, standing in front of a portrait of former President of the United States Barack Obama and his First Lady Michelle Obama.
The cast Of Black-ish
On ABC's Black-ish, The Johnson family drew inspiration from a "black cultural moment" in the media and decided to dress up as the characters from Jordan Peele's horror hit, Us. Tracee Ellis Ross shared some snaps on Instagram, thanking the hair, make-up, and wardrobe crew for their impeccable looks.
Missy Elliot
Defying time itself, Missy 'Misdemeanor' Elliott astounded fans by dressing up as her twenty-six-year-old self. Recreating her first album cover, the 48-year old singer wore her hair, make-up and outfit to match the cover of her hit album Supa Dupa Fly which came out 22 years ago.
WOW🤩😱 This Halloween I decided to RECREATE my 1st album cover from 22 YEARS AGO one of these pictures I took ONLY 3 DAYS AGO the other was 22 YEARS AGO CAN YALL TELL THE DIFFERENCE??👇🏾 pic.twitter.com/6BGrjjM78w

Ashley Graham
Ashley Graham, who is pregnant, dressed up as cartoon bombshell Jessica Rabbit, in a skintight red latex dress with purple gloves and a scarlet wig. The plus-size model completed her look with red lips and purple eye make-up. She’s one sexy mama to be.
Nina Dobrev
Always one to highlight a pop culture moment (she previously dressed up as the box office smash A Star is Born), Vampire Diaries actress Nina Dobrev had not one but two costumes this Halloween. First, she dressed up as Bad Guy singer Billie Eilish...
Next, she and a friend reenacted the moment model Gigi Hadid confronted cat-walk crasher, French Youtube star Marie S'Infiltre, at Chanel's spring/summer 2020 fashion show in Paris.
Halsey
Attending a party to celebrate the 100th episode of TV series American Horror Story, singer Halsey and actor Evan Peters showed off not one but two costumes each.
First, the duo donned matching white and polka dot ensembles with brown wigs (and a mustache for Peters) to recreate a look from Seventies TV show The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour.

Then, the pair paid homage to alternative rock icons Marilyn Manson and Insane Clown Posse with Halsey sporting a white latex bodysuit and Peters wearing black and white clown face paint. They certainly get an A for effort.
Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler
Vanessa Hudgens and her beau Austin Butler dressed up as Jack and Sally from Tim Burton's classic holiday flick, The Nightmare Before Christmas.
The High School Musical star posted a snap of their costumes with a quote from the film: "And sit together, now and forever. For it is plain, as anyone can see. We're simply meant to be."
Gabrielle Union
Gabrielle Union opted for a mini-me style costume for daughter Kaavia. The actor recreated her most famous role, from 2000 film Bring it On, donning a green and yellow cheerleading top and skirt, with her 11-month-old wearing a similar set. Mum and baby even had matching yellow bows in their hair. Go Clovers!
Demi Lovato
"Halloween round 1… I told y’all I don’t play on Halloween," announced Demi Lovato as she unveiled an incredible Marie Antoinette transformation featuring a corseted mini dress, voluminous wig and lots of white face powder.
Round two was a sexy version of Pennywise, the terrifying clown from horror movie It. Rather than a bulbous bald head and buck teeth, the pop star’s Pennywise came with red lipstick, long red nails and a corset dress. Because why not?
Cardi B
Never one to miss an opportunity to go all-out on the fashion front, Cardi B donned green lingerie and a wig that must have weighed a tonne in homage to comic book character Poison Ivy.
Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake
But the award for best pop parody has to go to Jessica Biel, who dressed up as husband Justin Timberlake in his boyband days, complete with blonde ‘noodle hair’ wig and tiny blue sunglasses.
"This is what happens when you admit on TV that you don’t know any NSYNC songs and you’re married to @justintimberlake," she wrote on Instagram.
What’s more, hubby was on hand to play a supporting role, donning a huge microphone costume. Now that’s what we call #couplegoals.
Khloe Kardashian
The Kardashian clan all impressed with their 2019 Halloween looks but Khloe took the crown for cutest kids' costumes, dressing baby True in no less than six different outfits, including a jack-o-lantern, an Oompa Loompa and a swan, staging photoshoots at different locations for each.
The 35-year-old joined her daughter for a Disney themed shoot, donning a Cruella DeVil outfit while True was an adorable little dalmatian.
Kylie Jenner
With a sparkly Flounder bag in tow, Kylie Jenner dressed up as Ariel from Disney's The Little Mermaid. The reality-TV star went all out with a red wig, pearl earrings, a seashell bra under fishnet detailing and scaled skirt.
Kourtney Kardashian
Kourtney Kardashian paid homage to Ariana Grande. The reality star recreated the pop singer’s signature style with a pink babydoll dress, thigh-high boots, major winged eyeliner and, of course, a long blonde ponytail.
Kim Kardashian
Sister Kim dressed up as a modern movie icon, bubbly blonde Elle Woods, played by Reese Witherspoon in the 2001 comedy Legally Blonde.
The mum-of-four, who is currently studying to become a lawyer, even recreated Elle’s Harvard video essay, showing off an array of Barbie pink outfits.
