We caught up with the Snapchatter and Most Stylish Online Influencer nominee Doireann Garrihy to talk trends and fashion tips.

Congrats on your VIP style award nomination! How did it feel when you realised that both you and your sister Aoibhín were nominated?
It was mad! Aoibhín has always had such a cool sense of style. She's been nominated a few times now and won the Most Stylish Newcomer Award a few years back.
To be nominated myself this year was a shock, but a nice shock! I don't consider myself as being massively stylish but I know what clothes suit my body type, which is half the battle. If it reflects my personality too, brilliant!

How would you describe your style?
Simplistic. 90% of the time I wear jeans, runners, and a casual top or jumper. I work in radio where the dress code is super relaxed. To counteract that, I do try to make an extra effort if I'm going to an event or on a big night out. If I can find a cool jumpsuit or playsuit I'm delighted.
Where are your favourite places to shop?
I get a lot of my clothes from Zara – I have a bit of a Zara jacket obsession. Last Spring I got one of their jackets in three different colours! I wore them all plenty of times so I didn't feel too bad, and their stuff is affordable.
Lately, I've been getting a few bits in COS and & Other Stories too. Their stuff is simplistic in colour and design, so you could team it up with a cool print or some nice jewellery.
Are there any particular designers you love in Ireland at the moment?
Emma Manley has designed a good few dresses for Aoibhín and they all turn out to be stunning. She designed her wedding dress and myself and my sister Ailbhe's bridesmaid dresses which we loved. I love that lots of her pieces have collars...I'm a major collar enthusiast!
What is your go to outfit for on a night out?
If I've put on some fake tan, I'll get the legs out! I would usually wear a shift or skater dress with nice strappy sandals. Otherwise, I'd wear leather look jeans with a blazer or bomber jacket.
In terms of jewellery, I have a wide selection of rings...I'd never go out without at least 3 on! A strong red or pink lipstick is almost always a must, too.
