Pose 11: Wide Legged Forward Bend (Prasarita Padottanasana)

Physically, what’s it good for?

•             Hamstring, glut and groin strength and flexibility.

A strong progression from our Pose Day 3; Reclining Hand to Big Toe Pose, this Wide Legged Froward bend will into short and weak hamstrings! Keep your back straight , this is not about rounding forwards. Once in position, stay there for 6 deep breaths and ensure you feel a good stretch in your hamstring muscle (not your knee or your bum – the in between bit!).
