Honestly, as we get closer to the Big Day, the more our bodies need a little TLC and instead of putting it all off until January - a little goes a long way. Pose 6: Seated Twist (Marichyasana III)
Physically, what’s it good for?
- Lengthens, extends and rotates the mid part of the spine – the Thoracic Spine.
- Takes us out of the forward and rounded position we can fall into during the day at a desk!
- Builds lung capacity.
- Increases leg strength.
Seated Twist, try it at the office. Too much of our day is spent sitting, and rounded forwards. This is an excellent pose to address the restricted and dysfunctional areas that can develop after a day spent looking after kids or bent over a computer.
