Wieland, who lives in Co Sligo and originally from Germany, works and teaches at The Organic Centre in Co Leitrim. But in his spare time, he's almost always looking towards the skies.
"I got hooked on seeing more in clouds than just looking at them. I was trying to maybe then look at weather. How can I forecast the weather? So that's how I developed this idea of cloud spotting," he said.
"You get out in the morning and what are the clouds like? It's like reading a poem.
"It's a fascinating hobby. I de-stress by just looking up and letting it pass."
