3rd and 4th Class: Maths- Capacity

Capacity

Today we learned all about capacity. Capacity is the amount that something can hold.

Múinteoir John told us another way of looking at it, capacity is how much it takes to fill an object.

For example, how much water does it take to fill a container.

We learned that 1000ml = 1 litre and 500ml = ½ a litre.

But remember 1 litre of liquid can look different depending on what container it is in.
