Directed by Brian Levant, starring Ice Cube, Nia Long, Aleisha Allen, Philip Daniel Bolden, Jay Mohr, MC Gainey, Nichelle Nichols, Henry Simmons and Tracy Morgan.

Into the swarm of kids movies' currently on general release leaps 'Are We There Yet?', a kiddie road trip that is over-the-top in everything it does.

Nick Persons (Ice Cube) is the labels-clad, dripping-in-gold-medallions owner of a sports collectibles shop. Renowned for his playboy lifestyle, Nick is suddenly reformed when he meets the beautiful Suzanne (Long). But her two children, Lindsey (Allen) and Kevin (Bolden), don't take too kindly to his attempts to worm his way into their mother's affections.

There's only one thing to be done in order for Nick to win Suzanne over, and that's to first of all win the children over, while proving to their mother that he has their best interests at heart. How hard could it be? So when Suzanne's ex-husband cancels on taking the children for the weekend, Nick steps up and offers to drive them to Vancouver for New Year's Eve.

Simply put, this is a lame kids' movie, that comes off as slightly desperate to impress, but no doubt kids will lap up a certain amount of its half-hearted humour. That said, there's pretty much nothing in here for anyone over the age of 10. Aleisha Allen and Philip Bolden manage to capture the hyperactive, uncooperative personalities of Lindsey and Kevin very well, injecting some very childish humour into the mix, but it's not enough to make this impressive enough to compete in the currently saturated market of children's movies.

If you're looking for a ridiculously silly kids' movie on wheels then look no further, but be warned that this one is strictly for the kids.
