Written and directed by Ciaran Creagh and shot in Boyle, County Roscommon, this film is the story of one day in the life of a 15-year old girl in a small town in Ireland. It is fiction but closely based on the life and death of Ann Lovett, who died on the 31st of January 1984; some hours after giving birth to her stillborn son in an area close to a church in her home town of Granard in County Longford. Starring Zara Devlin in the title role.

Little Mix

The final part of this entertaining series looks at talent show winners Little Mix and how they contended with the pressures of social media, while Sugababes face changing line-ups and familiar faces make a comeback. And Beeb Two keep the girl power at maximum for the rest of the night with The Spice Girls at the BBC at 10pm, followed by Sugababes at Glastonbury 2024, Top of the Pops: Eternal Special, and Ronnie Spector at the BBC.

T2 Trainspotting, Channel 4, 11.30pm

Twenty years after the landmark British movie, director Danny Boyle gets the gang back together for this misfiring but entertaining sequel from 2017. Renton (Ewan McGregor), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller), Spud (Ewen Bremner) and Begbie (Robert Carlyle) return for a caper involving a bizarre love triangle and a get-rich-quick scheme. There is violence aplenty and dark humour, including a hair-raising visit to an Orange Order gathering. Read our full review.
