The Banshees of Inisherin writer-director Martin McDonagh has brought together an all-star cast for his new film Wild Horse Nine, which is currently in production on Easter Island/Rapa Nui, the Chilean territory in the southeastern Pacific Ocean.

US entertainment publication Deadline reports that Wild Horse Nine reunites the London-Irish filmmaker with his Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and Seven Psychopaths star Sam Rockwell.

Also on board are John Malkovich, Parker Posey, Steve Buscemi, and music legend Tom Waits - who previously starred alongside Rockwell in McDonagh's Seven Psychopaths. Three acclaimed actors from Latin-American cinema, Mariana di Girolamo, Paola Giannini, and Ailín Salas, complete the cast.

Details of the plot of Wild Horse Nine have not been released.

The film also reunites McDonagh with his long-time collaborators Searchlight Pictures, Blueprint Pictures, and Film4.

Searchlight Pictures President Matthew Greenfield said: "It's a privilege to work again with the incomparable Martin McDonagh who, with Wild Horse Nine, once again masterfully blends emotional nuance with razor-sharp dark comedy.

"Having assembled this exceptional cast and talented crew - many of whom we've had the great pleasure of working with before - we couldn't be more excited for Martin to take the world on this cinematic journey."
