Gladiator II star Paul Mescal will host Saturday Night Live on US television next month.
Following the Kildare actor's appearance on Friday's Late Late Show, comes the news that he will host the long-running comedy sketch series on NBC on Saturday 7 December.
He follows in the footsteps of fellow Irish actors Gabriel Byrne, Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, and Saoirse Ronan by hosting Saturday Night Live.
It is tradition on Saturday Night Live for the guest host to take part in sketches on the show.
Mescal previously showcased his comedic talents in the Normal People Confessions sketch on RTÉ Does Comic Relief in 2020.
