Jerry Fish has launched a Kickstarter Campaign for his new album Dreaming of Daniel, which honours the late US singer Daniel Johnston. We asked Jerry the BIG questions . . .
The 13-track project is a labour of love which former Emotional Fish front man and current ringmaster of The Jerry Fish Electric Sideshow has been working on for the past year and it features vocals by MayKay from Fight Like Apes as well as other special guests.
Jerry is aiming to honour the legacy of Daniel, who died aged 58 in 2019, and who continues to inspire his own work.

The Kickstarter Campaign launched on 19 June and will run for 45 days.
Since 2020, Jerry and MayKay have hosted Hi, How Are You Day in Dublin on 22 January, which is Daniel's birthday, with the support of Daniel's Hi, How Are You Project based in Austin, Texas, encouraging new conversations around positive mental health and well-being.

"We felt compelled to capture the magic and energy of these live performances in a studio setting. Interpreting Daniel's songs has been a truly magical journey for us."

The album artwork, including a poster, has been created by Ricardo Cavalo, known for his graphic novel about Daniel life.
Jerry is seeking support through Kickstarter to cover the costs of mixing, mastering, and manufacturing the album.
Backers of the Kickstarter campaign will receive a limited-edition vinyl run of the album, including a digital download with a bonus track, available exclusively to backers before the worldwide release.
Other rewards include access to a VIP Secret Show in Dublin, and various exclusive goodies.
