Australian actor Hugh Jackman has been taking in the sights in Dublin and Wicklow over the past few days, describing the old place as "one of the most beautiful places in all the land" and praising locals for their "hospitality".

The Greatest Showman and Wolverine star, who recently finished work on the new Deadpool film, was also spotted at the FlyeFit gym in Portobello in Dublin and at the play Distillation at capital's Peacock Theatre over the past week.
He also visited historic Glendalough and Powerscourt in Co. Wicklow and earlier in the week he posted pictures and videos on social media of his pitstop to drink a pint of Guinness at the Guinness Storehouse.

He was also seen enjoying a pint of the black stuff at an unnamed Dublin pub.
The actor had already proven his grá for Ireland back in 2019 when he made a little Irish girl’s dream come true after she posted a video of herself singing on social media.
Seven-year-old Emma Cooney from Lucan in Dublin was left disappointed after she missed out on tickets to Jackman’s Greatest Showman concert, which came to Dublin in May that year for three sold-out shows at the 3Arena.
Emma’s mother, Jacqueline, decided to post a video of her daughter singing A Million Dreams from the hit movie musical on Twitter.
"I said, maybe if you do a video of yourself singing one of the Greatest Showman songs and we tweet it, Hugh Jackman might see it." Jacqueline told RTÉ Entertainment at the time.
A few days later, Jackman replied, saying, "I just want to say to your little girl, thank you so much for singing that song. Thanks so much for being a fan. And never stop dreaming. Remember, life is what you choose to make it so make it fantastic!"
