The Pale frontman Matthew Devereux has announced details of his debut solo album, House Devil.
The ten-song album was written, performed, and produced solely by Matthew and will be released on 140g vinyl via Dublin Vinyl on 12 April.
Dublin-born Devereux has been making music since 1990, beginning with the formation of his band The Pale, who quickly built a reputation for their energetic and quirky live shows.
Following a bidding war between numerous record labels, they eventually signed with A&M Records and released their debut album Here's One We Made Earlier in 1992 and scored hits with Butterfly and Dogs With No Tails.
They have toured the world extensively and have made a dozen albums to date. The Pale recently celebrated their 30th anniversary with the release of a career-spanning best of collection entitled Paleanthology.
Devereux also released an album of instrumental ambient electronic music in 2003 entitled Tap, Tap, Tap.
