Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal star in Oscar-tipped All of Us Strangers

The first trailer for the Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal-starring drama All of Us Strangers has been released ahead of the film's arrival in Irish cinemas in the New Year.

Written and directed by Andrew Haigh (Weekend, 45 Years, Lean on Pete), All of Us Strangers is based on the 1987 Taichi Yamada novel Strangers.

The synopsis reads: "One night in his near-empty tower block in contemporary London, Adam (Andrew Scott) has a chance encounter with a mysterious neighbour, Harry (Paul Mescal), which punctures the rhythm of his everyday life.

"As a relationship develops between them, Adam is preoccupied with memories of the past and finds himself drawn back to the suburban town where he grew up, and the childhood home where his parents (Claire Foy and Jamie Bell) appear to be living, just as they were on the day they died, 30 years before."

All of Us Strangers is due for release in Irish cinemas on Friday 26 January 2024.
