Mairéad puts on a brave face when McCabe tries to intimidate her in Tuesday's Fair City on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player.
"I'm not going to let you get away with what you've done to me and my family," says Mairéad.
"I haven't done anything," smiles McCabe. "You, on the other hand, have a history of mental health problems."
At that moment, Damien enters the shop and asks if everything is ok.
"Mairéad's not feeling too well," says McCabe as she leaves. "Maybe get some sleep, yeah?"
Later, Mairéad tells Fidelma at the station that she has made a decision.
"I'd like to withdraw my complaint against DI McCabe," she says.
