MacGowan, who turns 65 on Christmas Day, is now permanently confined to a wheelchair after he fell and broke his pelvis in 2015 and then broke his knee and tore his ligaments in 2020.
The singer launched his new limited edition art book, The Eternal Buzz & The Crock of Gold, recently in Dublin. It features self-portraits, essays, and song lyrics, including early versions of Pogues songs.
Shane was also the subject of a well-received documentary entitled Crock of Gold: A Few Rounds With Shane McGowan by director Julien Temple in 2020.
