Belfast's Oscar-winning writer-director Kenneth Branagh and Aftersun star Paul Mescal are among the nominees for this year's European Film Awards.
Branagh is shortlisted in the European Screenwriter category for his coming-of-age story Belfast.
Mescal is nominated in the European Actor category for his performance in the father-daughter drama Aftersun.
The coming-of-age drama Close, crime-thriller Holy Spider and black comedy Triangle of Sadness lead this year's nominations with four each.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony on Saturday 10 December in Reykjavík.
Aftersun is due for release in cinemas on Friday 18 November.
