Friends star Courteney Cox has said she "doesn't remember filming" many of the hit sitcom’s episodes.

Speaking to US talk show Today, the 57-year-old actress admitted that she struggled to recollect filming numerous episodes over the show’s 10-year run before reuniting with her co-stars on Friends: The Reunion last year.

"I should have watched all 10 seasons because when I did the reunion and was asked questions, I was like, `I don’t remember being there.’ Yeah, I don’t remember filming so many episodes."

Former co-stars Courteney, Jennifer Aniston, 53, Lisa Kudrow, 58, Matthew Perry, 52, Matt LeBlanc, 54, and David Schwimmer, 55, reunited for the Friends reunion show in May last year.

Cox added: 'I see it on TV sometimes and I stop and go, "Oh my God, I don’t remember this at all," but it’s so funny.

"I’m kinda bummed that we didn’t spend more time taking pictures. Because I don’t have a lot to look back at."

She did recall the day Friends director James ‘Jim’ Burrows flew the entire cast to Vegas and warned them that this would be one of the last times they wouldn’t be recognised in public.

"He said, `I want you to take care, like really take notice of this moment because it will be the last time that all six of you together can walk through a casino.’

"And we were like, `Really?’ And it was true. We could never do that (again)."

She added: ‘I mean, I don’t wanna sound like, `Look at us.’ We’re not, you know, the Beatles. But people feel like they know you."
