The Downton massive decamp from their stately home and hit South of France in the first official trailer for Downton Abbey: A New Era, as the cast take a grand journey to uncover the mystery of the Dowager Countess' newly inherited villa.
The film, a follow-up to the first Downton movie in 2019, is in Irish cinemas on April 29 and sees the doughy Dowge reveal a rather big secret from her past - namely that an ex-lover has left her a bloomin’ great villa on the French Riviera.

The comedy of errors also continues at home as a flash film director arrives at the castle to make a movie, much to the distress of Lord Grantham (a notably tanned Hugh Bonneville) and the delight of them downstairs.

Directed by Simon Curtis and written by Julian Fellowes, the new film sees the return of Maggie Smith, Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter, Michelle Dockery, and Elizabeth McGovern.
Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock, Nathalie Baye and Dominic West are also joining the cast.
