Dublin band Pillow Queens will release their second album Leave The Light On on April 1 and have shared Be By Your Side, the first single from the new record.
The four piece's 2020 debut album In Waiting proved to a prophetically titled breakthrough and won critical acclaim, an RTÉ Choice Prize Album of The Year nomination, and a US national television appearance on the Late Late Show with James Corden.
Speaking about the new single, singer/bassist Pamela Connolly says, "This song is about the mechanisms that are used to hide your vulnerabilities and carry on.
"But also, the feeling of being about to burst and how cathartic it could be to allow yourself to let your emotions out and feel the world around you. This was one of the first songs we finished on the album as it was the quickest to become fully realized by all of us."
Leave The Light On is due out on Toronto label Royal Mountain Records and the track list is: Be By Your Side, The Wedding Band, Hearts & Minds, House That Sailed Away, Delivered, Well Kept Wife, No Good Woman, Historian, My Body Moves, Try Try Try.

The band play March 9th - Kilkenny, Ireland @ Set Theatre (sold out), March 10th - Galway, Ireland @ Roisin Dubh (sold out), March 11th - Dublin, Ireland @ Button Factory (sold out), March 12th - Dublin, Ireland @ Button Factory (sold out).
Pillow Queens play the SXSW festival this March before undertaking their first US before returning for more Irish dates in October.
