Bristol-based melancholic pop duo Yard Arms have released their new single, Pirouettes. We asked them the BIG questions . . .
Formed in 2018, Noah Villeneuve and Billy Golding are influenced by classic 80s acts like The Cure and Echo & The Bunnymen and more modern indie acts such as The National, Bleachers and Death Cab For Cutie.
The video for Pirouettes follows the band through their most recent UK run of dates alongside the likes of The Slow Readers Club, Phoxjaw, The Nightmares, and The Inspiral Carpets' Tom Hingley.

How would you describe your music?
Transatlantic sad-happy-alt-rock-emo-pop anthems.
Who are your musical inspirations?
Death Cab For Cutie, The National, Foals, Manchester Orchestra, The Cure, Tears For Fears, Bleachers.
What was the first gig you ever went to and the first record you ever bought/downloaded?
Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2006 was the first gig. First record I ever bought was Goodbye by the Spice Girls, still slams.

Wet Dream by Wet Leg.
Favourite lyric of all time?
