The Crown has reportedly cast star Dominic West's teenage son as Prince William opposite his Prince Charles in the upcoming season of the royal drama.
West, a graduate of Trinity College, Dublin, is taking over from Josh O'Connor as Prince Charles in the fifth series of the Netflix show.
It has now been reported that his 13-year-old son Senan West is set to play his on-screen son, and heir to the throne, Prince William.
According to US entertainment publication Variety, Senan was cast after a nationwide search and caught the eye of the show's producers after submitting an audition tape.
The role will mark his on-screen debut.
Upcoming episodes of the royal drama are said to feature the death of Diana, Princess of Wales and its impact on the royal family.
