Adele will play her first live shows in the UK in four years next year when she plays London's Hyde Park in July 2022. However, there are no signs of any Irish shows by the singer.

Adele, 33, shared the news of her new shows on Twitter and Instagram with a picture of herself with her name on it and the words Hyde Park London and the dates July 1 and 2 2022.

She will take to the stage as part of next year’s BST Hyde Park festival, which will also feature performances from Sir Elton John, Duran Duran and Pearl Jam.

Adele’s comeback single, Easy On Me, released on October 15, topped the Irish single charts last Friday.

The song outsold the rest of the Irish Top 5 combined and is the star’s fourth chart-topper in Ireland, following Someone Like You (2011), Skyfall (2012), and Hello (2015).

Adele’s comeback has sent fans back to her catalogue this week, leading to two more of her songs featuring in the Top 50 - When We Were Young at 19, and Love In The Dark (both from 2015’s album, 25) at 24.

The new single is the first track from her new album 30 which will be released on November 30.

Before Easy On Me was released, Adele spoke frankly in the British and American editions of Vogue about her split from charity boss husband Simon Konecki in 2019.

She will be interviewed by Oprah Winfrey as part of a two-hour special called One Night Only on US network CBS on November 14.
