KIN star Ben Carolan, who plays hitman Glen Wright in the RTÉ One crime-drama, has promised fans that the biggest shocks are yet to come in the remaining episodes of the series.
Carolan's character is on the hunt again in tonight's penultimate episode - the tensest of the show so far.
"It's a build-up episode, you know?" the Sing Street star teased when speaking to RTÉ Entertainment. "You need a big finale in the series and I think the second-last episode is a good stepping stone towards that; it really builds it up."
Fans don't have long to wait to see if Wright will survive until the end - a question that was the first thing on Carolan's lips when he got the role.
"When I was cast as a hitman, everybody in my family and all my friends were saying, 'Tell you one thing: everybody knows about a hitman that he dies!', so I was worried about that from the start.
"When I first met Peter [McKenna, KIN writer-creator], I just went straight up to him and asked him out straight. The first conversation we had was like, 'So what's the story? What happens to me?' He just straight away told me what was going to happen."
When pressed for his thoughts on next weekend's finale, the Dubliner was giving little away.
"You're not expecting what happens to happen," he said cryptically. "It's exciting - leave it at that!"
