Cecelia Ahern has praised Hollywood star Nicole Kidman, who she is currently working with on the TV series Roar, saying she is "so talented" and "such a pro".
The best-selling Irish writer appeared on The Ryan Tubridy Show on RTÉ Radio 1 on Thursday morning where she spoke about adapting Roar, her 2019 book of shorts stories, for the small screen.
Ahern revealed that shooting on the series, which will consist of eight half-hour long episodes, "just wrapped a few days ago".
Kidman's company, Blossom Films, and Ahern's Greenlight Go Productions are bringing the series to screens, with both women working as executive producers on the show.
Ahern was effusive in her praise for Kidman, saying: "She's such a pro. She's so professional, so talented and really into all aspects".
She added that Blossom Films, which is behind hit shows such as Big Little Lies, The Undoing and Nine Perfect Strangers, "know exactly what they're doing".

"What they're doing is making women-centric stories, because there just weren't enough, but they're for everyone," Ahern said. "You notice the difference when you're watching a TV show and suddenly the woman is at the centre of the story and they're not just the wife. For a woman, that's really exciting."
The novelist is thrilled that these stories, each of which is told from a different female point of view, are being brought to life in the series.
"It's incredible, particularly that collection of stories because I wrote it on the side. It was something I was writing for me. I desperately wanted it to be a TV series. I didn't know it would be published; I didn't think it would be something that my publishers would want because it's very different."

The Roar cast features "incredible women", who Ahern said she feels "so honoured" to work with, including Cynthia Erivo, Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin and Meera Syal. More stars will be announced shortly.
A broadcast date for Roar has yet to be revealed.
