It is reported that In Bruges writer-director Martin McDonagh and stars Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson will be joined by Kerry Condon and Barry Keoghan when they begin filming The Banshees of Inisherin in Ireland later this month.

US entertainment industry publication Deadline exclusively reported on Tuesday that Better Call Saul star Condon had joined the cast as the sister of Farrell's character and that the cameras would start rolling soon.

Deadline says The Banshees of Inisherin "charts the story of a pair of lifelong friends on a remote Irish island who find themselves at an awkward time in their relationship when one of them no longer wants to be friends".

Kerry Condon

Tipperary native Condon previously starred in McDonagh's Oscar-winning Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and his acclaimed plays The Lieutenant of Inishmore and The Cripple of Inishmaan.

Farrell, Gleeson and McDonagh struck comedy gold when they worked together on In Bruges - the story of two hapless hitmen who have to go into hiding in the Belgian city.

Farrell subsequently won a Golden Globe in 2008 for his performance in the film. Gleeson was also Golden Globe-nominated, with McDonagh Oscar-nominated for his screenplay.
