Irish comedian and actress Aisling Bea joked that she "always fancied myself as a newsreader" ahead of the airing of I Got News For You on BBC One.

Speaking about the experience, the 37-year-old This Way Up actress said of hosting the programme which is pre-recorded: "This was so fun especially with new Mastermind host Clive Myrie & one of my best frenz @roisinconaty1 beside me, flanked by Paul and Ian.

The line up for Friday night's programme includes comedian Roisin Conaty and BBC Newsreader and Mastermind host Clive Myrie along with team captains Paul Merton and Ian Hislop.

This is the first time that the BAFTA winning comedian has hosted this show and it is the season finale.

Bea is also set to star in the upcoming remake of Home Alone.
