Taylor Swift is returning to the big screen alongside some big Hollywood names in the latest offering from director David O. Russell.

The as yet unnamed film also stars Margot Robbie, Christian Bale and John David Washington as well as Rami Malek, Zoe Saldana, Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Rock, Mike Myers, Robert De Niro, Michael Shannon and Timothy Olyphant.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the New Regency project will see Russell direct from his own script, his first time in the director's seat since 2015’s Joy, starring Jennifer Lawrence. Russell is producing with Matthew Budman.

While the movie has already completed production in Los Angeles, no details about the plot have been released.

Taylor Swift in 2019's Cats

This project marks Swift's return to the big screen since the widely critically panned Cats in 2019. She has also appeared in Garry Marshall's Valentine’s Day and the adaptation of the young adult classic The Giver, starring Meryl Streep and was the subject of the Netflix documentary Miss Americana.

Swift recently became the first female artist to win the Global Icon award at the Brits.
