Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page has said he is "flattered" to be linked to the role of James Bond.
The breakout star of Netflix's period drama has been made a favourite by some bookies to take over the 007 role after Daniel Craig's final Bond adventure No Time to Die is released in October.
In an interview with the Mirror, Page said: "Ah, the B word. I think if you are British and do anything of note, that other people take notice of, then people will start talking about that.
"That's fairly normal and I'm flattered to be in the category of Brits that people have noticed."
"The concept of having plans in this moment in history is mildly hilarious," he added. "I've given up making them."
It was recently announced that Page will not return for season two of Bridgerton.
Other actors linked to the Bond role include Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Sam Heughan, Richard Madden and James Norton.
