Derry Girls' star Saoirse-Monica Jackson, who plays Erin Quinn on the hit show, has landed a role in upcoming DC film The Flash, alongside Ben Affleck and Ron Livingstone.
The comic book adaption based on superhero The Flash, who uses his superpower speed to save the world, is due for release in November 2022.
It is not yet known what role the Derry native will play in the film.
The 27-year-old will star again in the third season of Derry Girls, which will resume filming this year after a delay due to Covid-19 restrictions.
"We actually know nothing at the moment," she said. "No one could ever guess the magic and madness of (writer and creator) Lisa McGee's mind."
She added, "I'll be as intrigued and excited to see what happens next as everyone else is."
