Netflix has bought the rights to Liam Neeson's latest action movie, The Ice Road.
Deadline reports that there were multiple bidders for the US rights to the film, which stars "the irrepressible Neeson" who "remains a solid box office bet."
The Ice Road is about a diamond mine in Canada that collapses. Neeson plays an ice driver, who has to battle through the frozen sea to save the trapped miners.
Die Hard With A Vengeance and Armageddon writer Jonathan Hensleigh wrote and directed the film.
The Taken star joked that were he to continue making action films for much longer, his character would need to be "in a zimmer frame or something."
"I'm 68 and a half. 69 this year. There's a couple more I'm going to do this year - hopefully, Covid allowing us - there's a couple in the pipeline and, then I think that will probably be it," he told Entertainment Tonight.
