It is reported that Jennifer Lawrence is recovering after sustaining minor injuries when the filming of a controlled glass explosion did not go to plan on the set of her new film Don't Look Up in Boston, Massachusetts.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the Oscar winner was shooting a scene in the Netflix comedy with co-star Timothée Chalamet when the incident occurred on Friday. It is understood the glass was meant to shatter but instead shards were sent flying.
Production was temporarily suspended when the incident occurred. The Hollywood Reporter says that Lawrence is expected to return to the set on Monday.
Written and directed by The Big Short's Adam McKay, Don't Look Up tells the story of two astronomers trying to warn the world that a meteor will destroy the Earth in six months. The film also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Helen Mirren, Cate Blanchett, Himesh Patel and Rob Morgan.
