Friday's Late Late Show saw viewers donate over €1.2m to the Simon Community as Ireland's biggest music acts teamed up for the night on the Busk for Simon.

With the now-legendary, all-star busking session unable to take place outside Dublin's Gaiety Theatre this year due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Late Late Show studio became its home away from home.

The roll-call included busk organiser Glen Hansard, U2's Bono and The Edge, The Coronas' Danny O'Reilly, Róisín O, Declan O'Rourke and Kodaline's Steve Garrigan, with Imelda May and Hozier joining via video link.

John Sheahan, Finbar Furey, Shane MacGowan and Lisa O'Neill were also in the studio. Joining them was Dubliner Philip Powell, who shared his own experiences of being homeless.

There were performances of Heyday, Raglan Road, Faith and Walk On, with poetry from Imelda May and Stephen James Smith.

The show closed with a cover of Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) with Bono on lead vocals.
