Saoirse Ronan is to be reunited with The French Dispatch and The Grand Budapest Hotel co-star Adrien Brody for her as-yet-untitled murder-mystery, set in 1950s London.

Ronan's casting alongside Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri's Sam Rockwell and Selma's David Oyelowo was announced last month - and now The Pianist star Brody has joined them.

US entertainment trade website The Hollywood Reporter, which first reported Brody's casting, says the whodunit sees a Hollywood producer trying to bring a West End hit to the big screen.

When members of the production are murdered, "world-weary" Inspector Stoppard (Rockwell) and "overzealous rookie" Constable Stalker (Ronan)" are tasked with finding the killer.

A start date for the film has yet to be announced. It will be directed by Tom George, whose other credits include the TV series This Country and Defending the Guilty.

The French Dispatch, the latest film from The Grand Budapest Hotel writer-director Wes Anderson, will be released next year, date to be confirmed.
