Conan O'Brien will step down from his late-night talk show Conan after eleven years to start a new variety show for HBO.

The 57-year-old, who was a recent guest on The Late Late Show, departs his show in June 2021 to take up a hosting role at the rival TV network for a new as-yet-untitled weekly variety series on streaming site HBO Max.

Over the years, O’Brien, who has often discussed his Irish roots, has also presented Netflix docuseries Conan Without Borders and his weekly podcast Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend.
